Rain Expected to Continue Across Jazan, Asir and Al Baha Through Thursday
JEDDAH: Rainfall is expected to continue across parts of the Jazan, Asir, and Al Baha regions through Thursday, according to the National Center for Meteorology (NCM).
The forecast, based on the Saudi Numerical Model, indicates changing rainfall patterns over the coming days, with varying intensity across the three regions.
From Monday afternoon, scattered light to moderate showers are expected over the southern and northern parts of Asir, with the heaviest rainfall forecast around the regional capital, Abha. Rainfall in southern Asir and the Abha area is expected to strengthen before gradually weakening and ending by early evening.
On Tuesday afternoon, light showers are forecast to return to southern and northern Asir, as well as the eastern parts of Jazan. Rain is expected to become more widespread in southern Asir and eastern Jazan, while southern Al Baha may also receive light to moderate rainfall before conditions improve later in the evening.
By Wednesday afternoon, light rain is forecast over eastern Jazan, extending across much of the region’s eastern border and into southern Al Baha. The rainfall is expected to ease gradually before ending by evening.
On Thursday afternoon, light showers are expected over southern Asir and limited areas in the western part of the region. Rainfall is forecast to become slightly heavier during the early evening, with light showers also developing over southern Jazan.
According to the NCM, rainfall will mainly concentrate along the border between Asir and Jazan before gradually weakening and ending later in the evening.
