Qassim’s Grape Production Strengthens Saudi Arabia’s Agricultural Growth
BURAIDAH — Qassim continues to strengthen its reputation as one of Saudi Arabia’s leading agricultural regions, with grape cultivation playing an increasingly important role in diversifying crop production and supporting the local economy.
The region’s fertile soil and favorable climate have created ideal conditions for growing high-quality grapes, helping establish vineyards across several governorates and making grapes one of Qassim’s most prominent fruit crops.

Salman Al-Suwaina, Director General of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture branch in Qassim, said the region ranks among the Kingdom’s top grape-producing areas, benefiting from strong agricultural and environmental advantages that have supported the sector’s continued growth.
He noted that annual grape production in Qassim has reached approximately 30,875 tonnes, reflecting the region’s expanding contribution to Saudi Arabia’s agricultural sector and its efforts to promote sustainable farming and improve economic returns for local producers.
