RIYADH — Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance has launched a digital New Muslim Card service as part of its ongoing efforts to expand digital government services and improve the user experience.

The service was introduced by Minister of Islamic Affairs Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif Al Alsheikh and enables individuals who wish to embrace Islam to complete the entire application process electronically, from submitting their request to receiving official approval.

According to the ministry, the digital card is automatically integrated with the Tawakkalna app once the application is approved, allowing users to access and verify their card digitally through integration with the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA).

The ministry said the new system is designed to improve data accuracy while providing reliable reports and statistics that support planning and decision-making.

Each digital New Muslim Card also includes a QR code, enabling government authorities to quickly verify its authenticity and confirm that it has been officially issued by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs.
