Saudi Arabia Forecasts Dust-Stirring Winds Across Western Regions Through Aug. 8

JEDDAH — Saudi Arabia’s National Center for Meteorology (NCM) has forecast dust-stirring winds across large parts of the Kingdom’s western region from July 29 through Aug. 8.

According to the NCM, the weather conditions will begin on Wednesday and continue through the end of next week, affecting the eastern parts of the Makkah region, as well as Madinah, Al-Baha, and Asir.

The forecast also indicates that the dust-stirring winds will extend into the Najran region and along the coastal highway between Jeddah and Jazan.

The NCM warned that the weather conditions could significantly reduce horizontal visibility, with visibility expected to approach near-zero levels in some affected areas.

Residents and motorists are advised to monitor official weather updates and exercise caution while traveling, particularly in locations expected to experience reduced visibility.
