JEDDAH — Saudi Arabia’s National Center for Meteorology (NCM) has forecast thunderstorms accompanied by hail, strong winds, and dust-stirring conditions across large parts of the Kingdom on Tuesday.

According to the NCM, weather conditions remain favorable for thunderstorms in parts of the Jazan, Asir, Al-Baha, and Makkah regions.

The center also expects gusty winds to raise dust and sand in those regions, as well as parts of the Eastern Province, Riyadh, Northern Borders, Al-Jouf, Tabuk, and Madinah regions.

Over the Red Sea, northwesterly to northerly winds are forecast across the northern and central areas at speeds ranging from 15 to 45 km/h, while the southern part is expected to experience northwesterly to westerly winds between 10 and 50 km/h.

Wave heights in the Red Sea are expected to range from 0.5 meters to more than 2 meters, with sea conditions varying from calm to choppy.

In the Arabian Gulf, northwesterly to northerly winds are forecast over the northern and central parts at speeds of 15 to 40 km/h, while northwesterly to northeasterly winds are expected across the southern part at 10 to 25 km/h.

Wave heights in the Arabian Gulf are forecast to range from 0.5 to 1.5 meters, with relatively calm sea conditions.
