RIYADH — The Royal Commission for Riyadh City (RCRC) has launched the Jeddah Road Development Project, a major infrastructure initiative that includes the construction of four new bridges to improve traffic flow and strengthen the city’s road network.

The project includes four bridges with a combined length of 990 meters, featuring four traffic lanes in each direction to increase road capacity and ease congestion.

According to the project plan, traffic diversions will begin on August 2 around sections of Jeddah Road near its intersections with Prince Bandar bin Abdulaziz Road, Prince Turki bin Abdulaziz Al Awwal Road, and Prince Turki bin Abdulaziz Al Thani Road.

The published traffic map outlines temporary routes, open roads, and road closures that will remain in place during the construction period to help motorists navigate the affected areas.

RCRC said the project is part of its ongoing efforts to enhance Riyadh’s transportation infrastructure by improving traffic movement, increasing road efficiency, and strengthening connectivity across the capital.
