RIYADH — As Saudi Arabia prepares for the return of male and female students to public schools for the new academic year on Sunday, August 23, the Ministry of Education has launched an online student transfer service for parents who wish to move their children from their current schools to other schools.

The service allows parents to submit transfer requests electronically in accordance with approved regulations and procedures, eliminating the need to visit schools in person.

The ministry explained that parents can access the service through its services portal using the unified login system or the National Unified Access platform. They can then select the students they wish to transfer, choose their preferred schools, and complete the required transfer request form.

Once submitted, the request is referred to the relevant department at the Education Administration, which checks the availability of places at the requested schools and officially approves the transfer based on the applicable requirements.

The ministry said the digital service is part of its efforts to simplify procedures for families and improve access to education services.

It also contributes to supporting the social and psychological well-being of students and their parents by helping families access schools located closer to their homes, while reducing the time and effort required to complete transfer procedures.
