RIYADH — As students across Saudi Arabia prepare to return to public schools for the new academic year on Sunday, Aug. 23, the Ministry of Education is introducing a range of digital services designed to make school-related processes easier for students, parents, and teachers.

Through the Unified Education Portal, students, parents, and teachers can access and manage various academic activities, including homework, periodic tests, and other school assignments. The portal also includes a chat feature that enables parents to communicate directly with teachers and school administrative staff, reducing the need for in-person visits to schools.

The ministry has also enabled male and female students to access a digital identification card containing key personal and academic information, including the student’s name, nationality, identity number, school, and grade level.

The digital ID is designed to make student identification easier and allows authorized entities to verify the validity of the information through a QR code.

In addition to the digital ID service, the Unified Education Portal provides several other electronic services, including transferring guardianship of a new student, registering for school bus services, transferring students between schools, and registering guardians.
