Absher Processes Over 50 Million Electronic Transactions in July
RIYADH — Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Interior electronic platform Absher processed 50,815,790 electronic transactions for beneficiaries during July, reflecting the continued expansion of digital government services across the Kingdom.
The Absher Individuals platform accounted for 47,869,218 transactions, including 37,089,458 digital document viewings through the platform’s digital document wallet, which is available to citizens, residents and visitors. Meanwhile, the Absher Businesses platform processed 2,946,572 transactions during the month.
The General Directorate of Public Security recorded 3,636,963 transactions, including 3,535,290 transactions carried out by the General Directorate of Traffic. The General Directorate of Passports processed 2,740,550 transactions, while the Ministry of Interior’s Civil Status Agency handled 694,946 transactions.
Through Absher Individuals, the Absher Reports service received 161,932 reports during July, while 2,405 general inquiries related to fingerprinting were also processed.
The Ministry of Interior said its unified digital IDs, issued through Absher, allow citizens, residents and visitors to access services provided by various ministry sectors conveniently and securely through Absher Individuals, Absher Business and Absher Government.
The digital IDs also enable users to access services provided by government and private-sector entities through the National Unified Access Portal (Nafath), further supporting the Kingdom’s digital transformation and the delivery of government services electronically.
