Saudi Interior Ministry Clarifies That Visit Visas Do Not Allow Hajj

RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Interior has reaffirmed that holders of visit visas, regardless of the visa category, are not permitted to perform Hajj. The ministry emphasized that obtaining an official Hajj permit remains a mandatory requirement for undertaking the pilgrimage.

In an official statement, the ministry urged everyone to comply with the regulations and instructions governing the 1447H Hajj season and to cooperate with the relevant authorities in support of the safety and security of all pilgrims.

The ministry also stated that any violations of Hajj regulations may result in legal action in accordance with the applicable laws and procedures.

In addition, members of the public were encouraged to report any violations through the designated emergency numbers. Reports can be made by calling 911 in Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, while 999 should be used in all other regions of the Kingdom.
