Asir Enhances Public Parks Ahead of Busy Summer Tourism Season
ABHA: Asir Municipality has stepped up its preparations for the 2026 summer tourism season by improving roads, upgrading public facilities, and maintaining its extensive network of 671 parks across the region.
Asir Mayor Abdullah Al-Jali said around 1,500 personnel have been assigned to carry out cleaning and maintenance work covering more than 16 million square meters of public spaces, aiming to provide visitors with a cleaner and more enjoyable environment during the busy season.
With demand for municipal services expected to rise by more than 40 percent during the peak summer holiday period, the municipality has mobilized specialized field teams to ensure uninterrupted services.
The deployed teams include the lighting maintenance department, supported by 194 workers and 47 pieces of equipment, the self-maintenance department with 93 workers, and the equipment and labor department, which has assigned 305 field workers to support operations throughout the season.
