Absher Processes More Than 43 Million Digital Transactions in One Month
RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Interior announced that the Absher platform completed more than 43.7 million electronic transactions during May through its Absher Individuals and Absher Businesses portals, highlighting the continued growth of digital government services across the Kingdom.
According to official figures, the total number of transactions reached 43,722,443. Of these, 41,238,574 were processed through Absher Individuals, while Absher Businesses handled 2,483,869 transactions during the month.
A significant share of the activity came from the digital document wallet service within the Absher application, which recorded 31,674,823 document viewings by citizens, residents, and visitors.
The General Directorate of Public Security processed 3,078,979 transactions during the reporting period. Meanwhile, the General Directorate of Traffic completed 2,986,452 transactions, the General Directorate of Passports handled 2,187,429 transactions, and the Civil Status Agency processed 487,221 transactions.
The platform also issued 128,291 reports through the Absher Reports service and completed 1,974 general fingerprint inquiry transactions via Absher Individuals.
The Ministry of Interior noted that the unified digital identity services available through Absher allow citizens, residents, and visitors to securely access a wide range of services offered across the ministry’s sectors through Absher Individuals, Absher Businesses, and Absher Government.
These digital identities also enable users to access government and private-sector services through the National Unified Access Platform, Nafath, supporting Saudi Arabia’s ongoing digital transformation efforts and improving access to essential services.
