JEDDAH — Hot weather is expected to continue across parts of Saudi Arabia on Monday, with temperatures reaching 48°C in some areas, while active winds carrying dust and sand, along with possible thunderstorms, are forecast in several regions, according to the National Center for Meteorology (NCM).

The NCM said temperatures are expected to reach 48°C in Dammam, 47°C in Makkah, 45°C in Riyadh, 45°C in Madinah, and 44°C in Jeddah.

In the southwest, Abha is forecast to record a high of 32°C, Al-Baha 31°C, Jazan 38°C, and Najran 39°C. Rain-bearing clouds are expected to develop over all four cities.

The weather authority also forecast high humidity along coastal areas stretching from Al-Qunfudhah to Jazan.

Active winds carrying dust are expected to affect parts of the Riyadh, Makkah, Madinah, Northern Borders, Al-Jouf, Tabuk, Hail, and Qassim regions.

Dust-stirring winds are also expected to continue across western and southwestern parts of the Kingdom, while thunderstorms may develop over parts of these regions, particularly in the southern areas, as well as parts of the Jazan region.

The NCM advised residents to follow official weather updates and exercise caution in areas affected by high temperatures, reduced visibility, and possible thunderstorms.
