Expat Remittances Rise 16% to SR14.7 Billion in April

RIYADH: Expatriate remittances from Saudi Arabia increased by 16 percent year-on-year in April 2026, reaching SR14.65 billion, according to figures released by the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA).

The data showed that despite the annual increase, remittance transfers by expatriates declined by around SR2.3 billion, or 13 percent, compared with March 2026.

Meanwhile, remittances sent abroad by Saudi citizens recorded a modest 1 percent annual increase, totaling approximately SR5.5 billion in April compared with the same month last year.

The latest figures reflect changes in monthly and annual remittance trends, as reported by the Saudi Central Bank.
