RIYADH — Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Commerce has recalled 96 Audi Q5 vehicles after identifying a defect in the front seat belt pretensioner that could reduce passenger safety in the event of a collision.

According to the ministry, the defect may cause the front seat belt pretensioner to loosen after it is activated, reducing the effectiveness of the seat belt and increasing the risk of injury during an accident.

The recall applies to 96 Audi Q5 vehicles from the 2025 model year.

The ministry advised vehicle owners to check whether their cars are included in the recall by entering the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) through the Recalls.sa platform.

Owners of affected vehicles are also encouraged to contact Samaco Motors, the authorized dealer, to arrange the required repairs free of charge
