RIYADH — Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Commerce has announced the recall of 6,574 BMW vehicles after identifying a defect that could increase the risk of smoke or fire.

The recall covers BMW 5 Series and 7 Series models from the 2023–2025 model years. According to the ministry, the issue involves the driver’s seat wiring harness, which may develop an electrical short circuit and create a potential fire hazard.

Vehicle owners have been advised to check whether their cars are included in the recall by entering their Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) on the Recalls.sa platform.

The ministry also urged affected customers to contact Mohammed Yousuf Naghi Company, the authorized BMW dealer, to arrange the required repairs free of charge.
