RIYADH — Saudi Arabia added two more medals to its achievements at the World Masters Athletics Championships (WMAC) Daegu 2026 in the Republic of Korea, with Mohammed Al Qaree winning silver in the pole vault and Sarah Al Helal claiming bronze in the heptathlon.

Al Helal secured third place in the heptathlon with 3,856 points, earning a place on the international podium and adding another medal to Saudi Arabia’s record in masters athletics competitions.

In the pole vault, Al Qaree took the silver medal after clearing 3.40 meters, finishing second in the event and securing another podium result for the Kingdom.

The Saudi masters athletics team continues to compete in the championships, which have attracted approximately 7,476 athletes from 106 countries, bringing together competitors from around the world across various masters athletics events.
