Saudi Commerce Ministry Warns Public About Fake Websites Impersonating Official Platform
RIYADH: The Saudi Ministry of Commerce has warned the public about fraudulent websites and individuals impersonating the ministry by appearing in search engine results and claiming to accept consumer complaints.
The ministry stressed that these websites and individuals are not authorized to provide its services and have no official connection with the ministry.
Consumers were advised to exercise caution and use only the ministry’s official channels when submitting complaints or seeking assistance. The ministry emphasized that all complaints and inquiries should be made exclusively through its approved platforms.
It also reminded the public that commercial complaints can be submitted through the unified hotline 1900 or via the Commercial Complaint application.
The ministry reaffirmed that it continues to monitor and investigate fraudulent activities carried out under its name and will take strict legal action against anyone found responsible for such violations.
